Workshop participants will learn how to take their students on a fantastic voyage abroad within the walls of the classroom. Ideas and templates for creating rich cultural learning experiences will be presented. The example lessons and resources are from French and Spanish language classes but the teaching philosophy and the activity ideas can be adapted to other subjects.

Participants will leave inspired and motivated to supplement a unit that they use in their teaching with authentic cultural experiences and will hopefully be inspired to create their own fantastic voyage unit. Unit template, resources, links to authentic texts and examples lessons will be provided. A suitcase and a passport are a must!
