Workshop leaders will share systems and strategies for prioritizing pastoral care to promote student agency and wellbeing. Areas of focus include the following:

• Mission & Vision: how to systemize the mission and vision for student care so it is lived and experienced by all members of the school community.
• Shifting School Culture: Intentionally fostering a positive school climate with a focus on the values needed to shift school culture and cultivate a community devoted to wellbeing.
• Collaboration & Collegiality: Creating a Student Care Team & building our collective efficacy by identifying internal and external community partners to support student wellbeing.

Some practical information that will be discussed includes access to social emotional curricular, mapping social emotional skills and learning outcomes, implementation of child protection curriculum and policies, developing student empowerment models and student councils, master scheduling changes, and student support philosophies and groupings.
