Project-based Literacy: How to Put Students in Charge of Their Learning and Assessment

Presenter: Emily Oxford

Teacher Presenters

We know students learn literacy skills in different ways, but how do we give them a chance to show what they know in their own way? Literacy projects promote student agency and choice while also using the assessment as an additional learning opportunity. Learn how to develop and implement project-based literacy to help students take ownership of their learning and demonstrate mastery. Participants will have the opportunity to create project frameworks for their class and begin planning the implementation. Descriptive rubrics and student examples will be shared.
