Participants will hear and see how one educator has collaborated with others to incorporate student choice with varied outputs for assessment, while continuing to meet student learning objectives. Visual media, student evaluation responses, concrete examples, and dialogue about additional ideas regarding ways to motivate students will be incorporated to generate discussion about the impact of student agency on learning.

Finally, participants will discuss the journey as well as articulate ideas in collaboration with peers to engage students with the inclusion of student choice and varied outputs in their own classrooms to produce practical opportunities for implementation.
