Current research in neuroscience has confirmed that tin fact critical and creative thinking thinking are interrelated rather than separate ways of thinking. Canadian academic Thomas Homer-Dixon argues that creativity and ingenuity will be vital for the world to tackle the complex problems facing humanity. During this workshop, Garfield will explore how nurturing creativity can become a central element of a "thinking class".

He will explore the five key essential for unleashing creativity in students and will provide several practical strategies for supporting teachers in teaching the tools for creative learning.
