This workshop will be focused on sharing how Open Inquiry allows our youngest learners to develop agency while allowing teachers opportunity for providing authentic learning experiences. During this workshop, the presenters will share examples of Open Inquiry and reflections about how this inquiry allows teachers and students to research together, theory build and develop thinking skills.

The presenters will share tools for teacher-researchers, such as: provocations to spark theories, how teachers can collaborate to understand the students’ thinking, and how documentation is used to make agency and learning visible. During this workshop there will be dialogue about how Open Inquiry allows for students to be self-directed and for teachers to assess learning.
