Collaborative Processes to Redesign a School's Core Values and Mission

Presenter: Ewan McIntosh

Conference Workshop

The American School of Warsaw leadership team made a decision to rethink their core values and mission through a collaborative process. They moved work that traditionally had taken place in the Board room out into the community. The process itself helped transform the community's relationships. The renewed core values have started to shape how people teach, learn and work.

In partnership with change consultancy NoTosh, the ASW community was able to benefit from years of entrepreneurial and commercial experiences in agile leadership, coupled with the school's own educational leadership. This is a project that exemplifies a leadership team placing trust in its community and broader network, as well as embracing approaches that are defining business today.
