Becoming a Transformational Innovator

In this session participants will engage in a deeper discussion on how to implement the elements and strategies in the T2) Transformational Innovation Domain. The precise sequence of strategies in this domain were shown to have an effect size of ES=1.6, which is equivalent to quadrupling student achievement (Magana & Marzano, 2014). Participants will learn how to begin the process of masterfully implementing and evaluating the impact of T2.1) Production, and T2.2) Contribution on student achievement and well-being.

Outcomes:

  • Understand and be able to describe the differences between T1) Translational Technology Use and T2) Transformational Technology Use;
  • Develop a plan for implementing the T2.1) Production and T2.2) Contribution strategies in your classroom or school; and
  • Begin to develop a plan for evaluating the impact of the Elements T2.1) Production, and T2.2) Contribution on students’ achievement in your classroom or school.
