Eric Dozier

For more than 2 decades as co-founder of the Children’s Theater Company of New York City (CTC), Eric has engaged and equipped young people all over the world utilizing the magic of music and theater as a tool to inspire them to become voices for positive change and agents of healing in their communities.

With a social-justice imperative at its core, CTC’s musical programs explore the theater’s power to impact diversity, to develop empathy and compassion, and to allow young people to learn from lives they’ve never lived.

This workshop will introduce some of the creative tools, lesson plans, and character building rituals CTC uses to empower young voices while examining the parallel impact the arts have on academic performance.
