How do we maximize student learning by removing barriers for learners before instruction even begins?

Through the frameworks of Universal Design for Learning and Mastery Learning, teachers plan instruction that removes barriers for low- and high-performing students in mastery learning outcomes.

Participants will leave with an understanding of how UDL and Mastery Learning can and must happen in a secondary setting. This workshop will disprove the thought that providing students with these accommodations “dumbs down” the curriculum or fails to prepare them for life after high school.
